• Couple Therapy

Couples meet, fall in love, and get together. As time passes, issues crop up in their day-to-day leading to feelings of stress, neglect, frustrations and overall unhappiness. Seeking couple therapy may be one of the ways to overcome these challenges.

Couples, however, do not need to have presenting issues to come to therapy. They can benefit from couple therapy by gaining relationships tools to better manage conflicts, foster greater intimacy, and strengthen communications.

At 8daffodils, we adopt the Gottman Method Couple Therapy, a defined, goal-oriented and scientifically based therapy to work with couples. Dr Gottman’s intervention strategies are based upon strong empirical data that spanned three decades of clinical research with 3,000 couples.

Typically, couple therapy requires 4-6 sessions only. In some cases, further follow up and review work may be required.

If you want to save your relationship but has an unwilling spouse who is resistant to attend counselling, you can still attend relationship counselling with us.

Reasons couples seek therapy (but not limited to):

Communication Breakdown Lack of Emotional Intimacy Emotional Distance Differences over specific issues (e.g., parenting, decision to have children, living overseas)
Divorce/ Separation Problems Frequent Disagreements and Arguments Infidelity Issues Lack of Sexual Intimacy
Conflicts Resolutions Anger Management Wanting to Improve Relationship Feelings of Contempt

Our goal is to help couples live a more fulfilled life together.
